Simon Singh Wins

Dr Simon Singh has been involved in a libel case brought forward by the British Chiropractic Association for some time now. Following an appeal ruling on the 1st of April, the BCA has finally dropped their case. Hooray!

The great and good are throwing their weight behind the Libel Reform Campaign Petition, and if you are reading this I would persuade you to sign it (if you haven’t done so already of course!).
Why should you sign this? Well, the libel laws in England are far too biased towards the rich and powerful. These laws have been condemned by the UN Human Rights Committee. Multinationals even deliberately sue in England if they can, because it is very easy for them to do so (a practice known as “libel tourism”). If you want to know more, please pay their site a visit.
